Artist's Description
Jockey's Ridge State Park in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, USA. This was one of my favorite places to go as a child, and I loved being able to take my kids and husband there this past year. The dunes aren't as high as they used to be, but you still get the feeling of being in the Sahara Desert!

I'm constantly amazed by the intricacies in the small things all around us... the tiny veins in a flower petal, the metallic blue luster of a dragonfly's wing, the downy feathers on a baby bird... the beauty is everywhere. I love the challenge of trying to capture these fine details in my photographs.
